Fiery Torch Cocktail

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp water
  • 60 ml mezcal (or tequila if you want it less smoky)
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 6 dashes Vera Mexicana Fiery Habanero Sauce
  • Ice cubes
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Sea salt and a lime wedge for garnish


The fiery torchlight - a perfect cocktail for spice lovers. The golden honey tempers the warmth and spice to make this cocktail refreshing yet fiery. Do not despair ye faithful if you're not into too much fire - just hold back on the hot sauce!


  1. Make a honey syrup by cooking honey and water in a small saucepan while stirring until the honey has dissolved.
  2. Shake the honey syrup, mezcal, lime juice, hot sauce and cayenne pepper in a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes.
  3. Mix some sea salt and cayenne pepper on a plate, dip the rim of a glass in honey, and afterwards in the cayenne-salt mix.
  4. Fill the glass with ice and pour the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge, salud!
