Description

In case you're in need of an easy recipe for a quick dinner tonight... just keep reading! We made these delicious Tacos de Res for lunch and they were simply amazing.

Steps

  1. Stem and slice the fresh chilies across the grain (remove seeds to reduce the heat). ⠀
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the steak - slice the steak and put aside when cooked to your preference. ⠀
  3. Cook sliced onions, diced garlic and the chilies in the same pan until they start to brown, and return the sliced steak to the pan.
  4. Season with salt and pepper or any other desired spices. Cook just enough to heat the meat and brown the onions. ⠀
  5. Spoon into warm tortillas with your desired toppings such as cilantro, freshly squeezed lime, and Vera Mexicana Blackened Habanero Sauce.
  6. Buen Provecho!⠀

Author's Notes

You can choose your chilies according to your desired spiced level. We used habaneros since we were looking for a heat-quick but jalapeños could make for a less spicy option. You can also skip the fresh chilies and just add some salsa at the end.

We recommend serving these tacos with refried beans and guacamole, they are great together!
