Ingredients:

For rim:

  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp all-spice

  • 0,5 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar

For cocktail:

  • 3 dl apple cider (see author notes)
  • 2 dl ​Mezcal
  • 1 dl Grand Marnier (or any other orange liqueur of your liking)
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Ice cubes

Optional: Cinnamon sticks and apple slices for garnish.

Description

New favorite cocktail alert! Say Hola to our apple cider mezcal margarita. It’s a little smoky, a little citrusy… slightly heavy on the orange. This apple cider mezcal margarita is a delicious, smoky cocktail for fall! It's warming and refreshing and delicious all at once. Put us by a bonfire underneath a big blanket with these cocktails... We're done!

Steps

  1. If you want to rim your glass: Stir together a bit of cinnamon, allspice, salt, and sugar. Rub the rim of a glass with an orange or lime wedge and dip the rim in the spiced sugar.
  2. Fill a cocktail glass with ice.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in 3 parts apple cider, 2 parts of our Mezcal, and 1 part Grand Marnier (or any other orange liqueur of your liking).
  4. Add the juice of half a lime and shake for 30 to 60 seconds.
  5. Pour the mixture in a cocktail glass. Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks. Salud!

Author notes

Use our recipe for homemade Apple Cider with Mexican Vanilla or purchase apple cider in a store. We like ours nice and tart, but if you’d like to sweeten it up a bit, feel free to stir in some agave nectar or sugar. And then if you’d like to make it a little spicier, try stirring in a dash of our Fiery Habanero Sauce.
